Oshawa and Durham Region Tattoo Studio - Main 2

I have loved art my whole life but I put it aside as being a childhood hobby and joined the Canadian Military at 18 years old. After serving my country for 10 years, including a tour of war torn Bosnia in ‘94 I decided to return to civilian life. I tried several occupations but never felt satisfied. In 2005, I decided to open Motor City Tattoos, named after a cab company my grandfather owned in Oshawa many years ago.

Now days when I’m not at the shop tattooing, I spend most of my time painting and creating art that I exhibit in the studio and other galleries in the GTA. I also do commissioned paintings…I look forward to hearing your ideas and turning them into a piece of art.

I have been very fortunate to find my way back to art and I am grateful for the opportunity to design your tattoo. I am very patient and pride myself on making your tattoo experience a pleasurable one.

I think I’ve always been an artist at heart, but it took me a while to accept the thought of Kraft Dinner* every day. I pursued a formal education after high-school and received a B. Sc. but felt unfulfilled by my field of study. I decided to pursue art and found tattooing, a creative art with a unique (and awesome!) degree of permanence. As far as differing artistic media go, I feel fortunate to have found it. My style lends itself well to a new-school feel as you can probably see by my work. I enjoy bold color and contrast and strive to make those traits apparent in my works. Lookin’ forward to tattooing you.

After traversing the job market for many years and never finding anything that truly reflected my skills I was guided into a return to art from which I neglected for 5 years.

I started relearning art until I became confident enough to start a tattoo apprenticeship and since then I have been pushing myself as an artist and tradesman to be the best I can be.

I love all types of art, but the style I lean towards is neotraditional with some sort of abstract twist. Regardless of what I do, I always strive to nail it every single time. The best part of this job is that I’m learning every day.

The journey has been a good one and I hope you can be a part of it. Come see me and we can talk tattoos.
